What is included in the Ocudox Convenience Kit?
The Ocudox Convenience Kit contains Ocudox (Doxycycline Hyclate 50 mg, 60 Capsules, USP), OCuSOFT Lid Scrub PLUS Extra Strength Pre‐Moistened Pads (30 Ct.) and Tears Again ADVANCED Eyelid Spray (15 mL).

As prescribed by your doctor, the Ocudox Convenience Kit works by combining three effective components of eyelid therapy and hygiene into one simple, convenient package. 1) Address inflammation with doxycycline
2) Remove harmful bacteria with an antibacterial eyelid cleanser
3) Relieve dryness and irritation throughout the day with a moisturizing eyelid spray
Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic. It works by slowing the growth of bacteria in the body and reducing inflammation.
What conditions will the Ocudox Convenience Kit treat?
Without proper eyelid hygiene, conditions resulting in inflammation of the eyelids and dry eyes can develop. For acute cases of eyelid disease, the Ocudox Convenience Kit may help prevent or drastically reduce inflammation by removing oil and debris from the eyelids, employing the use of an oral antibiotic as well as an antibacterial cleanser and eyelid spray. Ocudox should only be used to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.
Back to TopWhat is the recommended dosage for Ocudox?
Take Ocudox tablets as prescribed by your doctor. The following suggestions are important when taking doxycycline pills to minimize stomach upset:• Do NOT take pills before lying down (wait at least 30 minutes before lying down)
• Do NOT take pills with anything but water (acidic beverages such as orange juice or even coffee may cause stomach
problems in combination with doxycycline)
• Do take pills with meals (provided there are not a lot of dairy products in your meal)
Ocudox is a prescription medication, use only as directed.

It usually takes about 4‐6 weeks before the results of using Ocudox are noticeable. Even if symptoms disappear, continue to use the medication for the full time prescribed to prevent the return of infection. Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.

What are the contraindications for Ocudox?
Ocudox is contraindicated in persons who have shown hypersensitivity to doxycycline or any of the other tetracyclines. Doxycycline can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman. The use of drugs of the tetracycline class during tooth development (last half of pregnancy, infancy and childhood to the age of 8 years) may cause permanent discoloration of the teeth. Tetracycline drugs should not be used during tooth development or in pregnant or nursing mothers. Photosensitivity can occur with any tetracycline class drugs.
